The city of Imperatriz, at Maranhao state, was surprised by a phenomenon of the nature, called the Solar Halo, a fact that led many to think that would be the end of the world and led to many curious look directly at the sun without proper protection.

Halo solar is a physical phenomenon that occurs when the Sun aligns with Earth at the point that their axes coincide, and because the refraction of sunlight in ice crystals of the upper troposphere.

Far from announcing the end of the world, the event only shows us that the phenomena of nature catch us by surprise, and that man should not forget its responsibility to the environment

Imperatriz foi surpreendida por um fenômeno da natureza, o chamado Halo Solar, fato esse que levou muitas pessoas a pensarem que seria o fim do mundo e levou muitos curiosos a olharem diretamente para o Sol sem a devida proteção. 

O Halo solar é um fenômeno físico que ocorre quando o Sol se alinha com Terra no ponto em que seus eixos coincidem,e devido refração da Luz Solar nos cristais de gelo da Troposfera superior. 

Longe de anunciar o fim do mundo, o acontecimento só nos mostra que os fenômenos da natureza nos pegam de surpresa, e que o homem não dever esquecer de sua responsabilidade para com o meio ambiente.
